JetBlue Flight Rejects Takeoff from Las Vegas

JetBlue flight B6-178 had to reject takeoff from Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 7th.

The Airbus A321-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Boston, Massachusetts, when the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine fire.

Emergency services quickly suppressed the smoke coming out of the engine.

The plane safely returned to the gate.

Pilot Dies in Small Plane Crash in Carroll County, Virginia

A small plane crashed in Carroll County, Virginia, on October 7th.

Authorities said Ralph C. Young, 65, of Fayetteville, West Virginia, was flying to Elkin, North Carolina, when his plane went down near the town of Fancy Gap. He was killed in the crash.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Iberia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Madrid

Iberia flight IB-6253 had to return and make an emergency landing in Madrid, Spain, on October 6th.

The Airbus A350-900 plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to turn back due to a technical issue.

The plane landed safely. All three hundred and fifty people aboard remained unharmed.

Albawings Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Control Problems

Albawings flight 2B-224 made an emergency landing in Ancona, Italy, on October 5th.

The plane heading from Venice, Italy, to Tirana, Albania, was diverted after the crew reported control problems.

The plane landed safely. All one hundred and thirty-five people aboard remained safe.
