Southwest Airlines Flight Returns to Nashville After Bird Strike

Southwest Airlines flight WN-577 had to return and make an emergency landing in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 18th.

The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Phoenix, Arizona, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.

The plane landed safely. All seventy people aboard remained unharmed.

CAA Flight Suffers Nose Gear Steering System Failure

Compagnie Africaine Aviation flight BU-2311 suffered a nose gear steering system failure at Mbuji Mayi Airport, Democratic Republic of the Congo, on April 16th.

The incident happened when the plane was backtracking to depart for Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The plane became disabled on the runway.

Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashes Near Belfast International Airport; 2 Dead

A small plane crashed near Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland, on April 19th.

The plane was carrying two people when it crashed between Nutts Corner and Loanends in County Antrim.

Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash.

The cause of incident is being investigated.

US Military Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

A US military helicopter made an emergency landing at Kumamoto Airport, Japan, on April 20th.

Authorities said the crew decided to make an emergency landing after the UH-1 helicopter developed an issue with the engine cooling system.

The aircraft landed safely. No injuries were reported.

The helicopter belongs to the US Marine Corps Futenma air station.
