Germanwings Flight Rejects Takeoff due to Engine Failure

Germanwings flight 4U-4099 had to reject takeoff from Palma, Majorca, Spain, on April 6th. The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Dortmund, Germany, when one of the engines emitted a loud bang. The crew subsequently rejected take off and safely returned to the apron. Aeromexico flight AM-11 had to return for an emergency landing in Santiago, Chile, on April 5th. The Boeing 787-800 plane took off for Mexico City, Mexico, but had to turn back after cracks were noticed on captain’s windshield. The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
