Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smoke in Cockpit

Lufthansa flight LH-8365 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hyderabad, India, on March 30th.

The plane took off for Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

American Airlines First Officer Dies During Landing in Albuquerque

American Airlines flight AA-1353 made an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 29th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, was on final approach when the captain declared a medical emergency saying, “We’ve got an issue with one of the pilots.”

The plane continued for a safe landing. Emergency services performed CPR on the first officer, however, could not save his life.

The deceased first officer was identified as William “Mike” Grubbs, 58.

The incident is being investigated.

Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Baltimore

Southwest Airlines flight WN-330 made an emergency landing in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 29th.

The Boeing 737-700 plane flying from Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina, was on approach to Baltimore when the crew reported a landing gear issue.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Daytona Beach International Airport

A small plane made an emergency landing at Daytona Beach International Airport, Florida, on March 30th.

It is believed that the twin-engine Piper Aztec plane declared an emergency due to a landing gear issue.

The plane landed safely after burning off excess fuel.

There were two people aboard at the time; both of them remained unharmed.

The plane is registered to Ace Tomato Company based out of Daytona Beach.
