Delta Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing due to APU Problem

250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-1183 made an emergency landing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on August 22nd.

The plane was en-route from Norfolk, Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia, when the crew reported issues with the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and decided to divert to Myrtle Beach for an emergency landing.

The plane landed safely. There were 160 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Austrian Airlines Plane Diverts to Domodedovo International Airport

Austrian AirlinesAustrian Airlines flight OS-64 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, on August 22nd.

The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Beijing, China, to Vienna, Austria, was diverted after the crew received a waste tank indication that suggested the lavatories were unusable.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Bird-Hit Compass Airlines Flight Makes Safe Landing in Salt Lake City

compassCompass Airlines flight CP-6075 was hit by a bird in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 21st.

The plane flying from Los Angeles, California, was on final approach to Salt Lake City when a bird hit on its nose.

The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Pilot Survives Small Plane Crash in Georgia

A small Cirrus SR20 crash landed at Malcolm McKinnon Airport, St. Simons Island, Georgia, on August 22nd.

The pilot onboard came out of the aircraft unharmed.

The cause of the crash landing has not been reported.
