Red Wings Airlines Plane Returns to Russia due to Engine Shut Down

Red Wings AirlinesRed Wings Airlines flight WZ-9830 had to return and make an emergency landing at Roshchino International Airport, Tyumen Oblast, Russia, on July 18th.

The Tupolev TU-204 was en-route to Sochi, Russia when the crew had to shut one of its engines down mid-air.

The plane landed safely.

All 213 passengers and 8 crew members remained unhurt.

Eva Air Plane makes Safe Landing in Philippines after Punctured Flaps

Eva AirEva Air flight BR-271 made a safe landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines, on July 18th.

The Boeing 747-400 flying from Taipei, Taiwan had vacated the runway at a high speed, puncturing its right side flaps.

The plane landed safely.

No one was injured.

Azores Airlines Plane Returns to Portugal after Bird Strike

Azores AirlinesAzores Airlines flight S4-134 had to return and make a safe emergency landing at Lajes Field, Lajes Air Base, Portugal, on July 15th.

The Airbus A320-200 en-route to Lisbon, Portugal had just departed Lajes’s runway when the crew reported a bird strike resulting in engine failure.

The plane landed safely. All 109 people onboard remained unharmed.

The flight was cancelled.

Emirates Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Australia after Descending Below Assigned Altitude

EmiratesEmirates Airlines flight EK-407 made a safe emergency landing at Melbourne Airport, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on July 14th.

The Airbus A380-800 en-route from Auckland, New Zealand was on approach to Melbourne’s runway when it was descended below the minimum assigned altitude, and climbed back after receiving instruction from the ATC.

The plane landed successfully. All people onboard remained unharmed.

An investigation regarding the occurrence has been initiated.
