Cathay Pacific Plane Diverts to Belarus due to Fuel Leakage

Cathay PacificCathay Pacific flight CX-270 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Minsk National Airport, Belarus, on July 11th.

The Boeing 777-300, flying from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Hong Kong, China, had to divert due to possible fuel leakage at one of its engines.

The plane landed safely.

No one was injured.

AA Flight Returns to Heathrow Airport due to Smoke in Cockpit

American EagleAmerican Airlines flight AA-105 had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport, London, United Kingdom, on July 12th.

The plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

United Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Edinburgh

new-united-logoUnited Airlines flight UA-929 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, on July 12th.

The Boeing 767-300 plane, heading from London, United Kingdom, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted due to a possible fuel issue.

The plane landed safely. There were 119 passengers and 11 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

1 Killed in Graves County Helicopter Crash

A helicopter crashed at a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) site in Graves County, Kentucky, on July 11th.

The Bell 407 helicopter went down while it was attempting to land at the site located between Paducah and Mayfield.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as John Love of Maryville, Tennessee. TVA authorities confirmed that Love had been an employee for 17 years.

The cause of crash is being investigated.
