Lufthansa Plane makes Safe Landing in Germany after Engine Issue

LufthansaLufthansa flight LH-2029 made a safe emergency landing at Munich Airport, Germany, on June 29th.

The Airbus A321-100, flying from Berlin, Germany, was mid-air when the crew noticed an issue with one of its engines.

The plane landed safely.

Two Injured after Small Plane Crashed in Michigan

A small plane crashed at Park Township Airport in Holland, Michigan, on June 29th.

Authorities said the plane veered off the runway and overturned as it was attempting to land at the airport.

There were two people aboard at the time including the pilot Richard Henley, 63, of Holland, and his passenger Leyland Klink, 71, of Spring Lake. The pilot was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the passenger was treated at the scene.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

J-Air Flight Returns to Osaka International Airport

J AirJ-Air flight JL-2301 had to return and make an emergency landing at Osaka International Airport, Japan, on June 28th.

The plane took off for Matsuyama, Japan, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported failure of right hand generator.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 32 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Southwest Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing at San Jose International Airport

According to airport spokesperson Rosemary Barnes, the plane, flying from Burbank, California, declared emergency due to mechanical issues.

The plane landed safely. All 96 passengers and 5 crew members remained safe.

Vueling Plane Aborts Takeoff in Netherlands after Bird Ingestion

VuelingVueling flight VY-8313 had to reject taking-off at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands, on June 28th.

The Airbus A320-200, en-route to Barcelona, Spain, had to abort the takeoff after one of its engines ingested a bird.

The plane returned to the apron safely.

The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

17 Soldiers Killed after Military Helicopter Crashes in Colombia

A military helicopter crashed near the town of Pensilvania in Caldas Department of Colombia, on June 26th.

The helicopter went down while it was travelling from Quibdo city to the military base at Tolemaida.

Seventeen soldiers were killed in the crash. According to President Juan Manuel Santos, “The soldiers were in the region of Uraba on a reconnaissance flight, many of them were experts in drone aircraft, others were supporting military operations against the National Liberation Army guerrillas.”

It is believed that the accident happened due to poor weather conditions.

Delta Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Alaska after Turbulence

The Robinson R66 helicopter took off from Prescott, Arizona, and was heading to Riverside, California, when it went down.

Small Plane Crashed in Rio Grande River

A small plane crashed in Rio Grande river just south of Las Cruces in New Mexico, on June 25th.

The Cessna 172 was carrying two people when it hit power lines and went down just west of N.M. 28.

Both occupants were injured in the accident and were taken to hospital.

The crash is being investigated.
