‘Do-it-yourself’ light plane crash leaves two people dead

It’s been revealed the light plane that crashed killing two people near Appin was a ‘do-it-yourself’ model imported from the US a few months ago.

It slammed into the bush just short of a local airstrip and a pilot on the ground said the engine seemed to be revving out of control.
